Full-Charge Bookkeeper

An accounting Firm located in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time/ Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper who has at least 3 years of experience working in a CPA practice. The individuals must possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties will include but are not limited to:

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping services for assigned clients. Specifically, prepare bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations, Payroll, Sales and Use Tax Returns, and produce financial statements among other customized duties. Manage client relationships directly and provide superior customer service.

Job requirements

  • 2 year degree + 2 years relevant work experience or equivalent work/education
  • Intermediate Excel, MS Office
  • QuickBooks Experience a plus
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Small business accounting experience
  • Self-motivated worker
  • Willingness to engage in all of the firm's practice areas
  • Data entry from client financial records
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions
  • Other month-end close functions, including journal entries
  • Preparation of financial reports: Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet
  • Payroll processing and tax deposits
  • Sales tax return preparation
  • Year-end W2s and 1099 preparation
  • Budget and cash flow reports
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
